1-Medicine The department of General Medicine deals with the prevention, diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of various diseases. It serves as the first point of contact whenever a patient visits the hospital. A general physician conducts a physical examination of the patient and then recommends necessary tests and diagnostic procedures. The results of these tests, the general physical examination and symptoms are then correlated to arrive at a final diagnosis. Depending on the final diagnosis, the general physician gives the necessary treatment (usually medication) to the patient or refers to a specialty department for further treatment.

Disease Management

Critical Care Medicine is a Super- specialty Department which caters to seriously ill patients with life-threatening disease & organ failure, who require life support systems and intensive monitoring. It has two units namely, Critical Care unit and High Dependency unit having a total strength of 36 and 40 beds respectively. The Units, with its state-of-the-art equipment and trained & qualified manpower, work round the clock to provide high end quality care to all critically ill patients. It consists of experienced Consultants, Intensivists, Nurses, Technicians & Physiotherapists who are committed to and drive for good patient care.
